Barcelona have been strongly linked with Robert Lewandowski with a move for the goal machine looking more likely by the day.
While some fans favour signing the 32-year-old, there are players at Barca who’d be praying it’s only just a rumour.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is enjoying the time of his life at Barcelona presently. He’s the lead striker, and deservedly too, as he keeps banging in goals.
If Lewandowski arrives at Barca, things are likely to change for Auba. He could even find himself on the bench.
Dembele has a strong bond with Aubameyang, which means he’d prefer to keep playing with Auba rather than anyone else.
If there’s anyone who’d stand with Auba and want him to remain the main man in Barca’s attack, it’s Dembouz.
Memphis was once Barca’s first-choice striker. All that is history now since Ronald Koeman’s departure.
The Dutchman still gets his chances to shine in the team. But if Lewandowski enters the picture, Memphis would have to find his way out as there will next to no playing time for him.
Braithwaite’s future at Barca is already looking bleak without the addition of a new striker. Lewandowski’s arrival will be his final marching order.
Luuk de Jong
Luuk shone for Barca at the start of the year, and even became the team’s first-choice no. 9 at some point.
We can’t tell if he lost his form because Xavi simply stopped playing him after Aubameyang arrived. If Lewandowski signs, there’ll be no chance of him staying at Barca after this season.
