Manchester United vice-chairman Ed Woodward has named his favorite manager to take over at Old Trafford on permanent deal.
The Board chairman made this revelation shortly, after rumours of PSG Mauricio Pochettino accepting to quit the French club for Manchester United went round the internet.
While PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino is regarded as favourite to replace the sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford, Diego Simeone is being discussed at Manchester United.
According to the Independent, the Argentine manager is rated highly by vice-chairman Ed Woodward.
Indeed, Woodward regards Simeone as the best choice to replace Solskjaer, though for him to accept any move at this stage is unlikely to happen.
Simeone has a deal with Atletico to 2024.
