Carrick reveals his biggest threat among Chelsea players ahead of team clash

While Chelsea enjoy their cruise as top of the Premier League table, Man United are struggling to find themselves in the League top 5.

It will be Manchester United’s second game under Carrick when they go up against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. The Red Devils face Thomas Tuchel’s side on the back of a 2-0 win over Valencia on Wednesday.

Chelsea defeated Juventus with a 4-0 result on Tuesday, once again showing off their great attacking football. The league leaders are on an incredible 11-match unbeaten run and will look to extend their record against Man United.

While speaking in a pre-match conference, United caretaker boss has admitted that he has serious concern over Chelsea’s exceptional buildup play.

“Hugely impressed by how they go about things,” Carrick said (via MEN).

“Super intense, well organised, really good movement across our backline and their frontline. Very good at connecting with the midfield, with the back three building up and connecting into midfield, narrowing up and giving you problems with the wing-backs.

“We have to get a result and I believe we can.”

The upcoming game will most likely be Carrick’s last game in charge of Man United. The Red Devils have reportedly reached an agreement with Ralf Rangnick to take over until the end of the season.

Rangnick will potentially start his Man United spell against Arsenal on Thursday.
