Chelsea face potential blow for Lille Champions League last-16 tie

Chelsea will not be able to field unvaccinated players in their Champions League round of 16 away tie against Lille.

France does not presently allow unvaccinated people to enter their country.

Such a rule means that Chelsea had to move the game to a neutral venue, but that is not looking likely.

The BBC states that no switch will happen, and that Chelsea will play the first leg on February 22 at home, and then travel to France for the game on March 16th.

There is no official list of Chelsea’s vaccinated and unvaccinated players, but a total of 80 percent are “double jabbed” in the Premier League.
