Chelsea preparations for €80m player that Thomas Tuchel is a ‘big fan’ of

Chelsea may not be able toake any signing unless the takeover is done. Hopefully the takeover will not exceed this month and the club is gearing up for big summer transfer.

Chelsea’s new owners have some immediate serious work to do this summer if they are to want to back manager Thomas Tuchel.

After another poor display on the pitch losing to Everton this weekend summing up what has been a hugely inconsistent season for the club, for me it makes it clear that this squad needs major improvements.

But will that happen under the new owners? Of course, that question cannot be answered yet.

One target who the club are still considering is Sevilla defender Jules Kounde, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

He claims that Tuchel is a big fan of the defender and he is one of the potential targets for this summer.

I think we would probably get him for much less than the mentioned €80m release clause this summer though, and it’s always just seemed like a deal that is destined to happen to me.

Chelsea midfielder Mount: I always studied Man Utd striker Ronaldo

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount admits growing up admiring Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

Mount has revealed the influence Cristiano Ronaldo had on him as a player.

“I think everyone has seen the video of when I was younger basing my free kick off him,” he said over the weekend. “I always watched him very closely when he was at United as a young kid. I loved the way he played, his free kicks.

“I’m a massive Pompey fan, so I went to the game when they played at Old Trafford and he scored that free-kick against David James. I was actually at the game, in the corner so I saw it first hand and I think after that I kind of fell in love with the technique and what he’d done and him as a player.

“So I always try to look at and work out, what can I do, to put it into my game? But now to play against him and be up against him is the journey that you go on from watching someone in the stands as a fan and then to being on the same pitch and playing against them. It’s a crazy journey and yeah, that’s why I love football so much.”
