Kenedy Jersey no. revealed as Chelsea submit new and final 26-man squad for Premier League

Chelsea succeeded in recalling Kenedy from loan to Flamengo and that could be seen as one addition to the squad at Stamford Bridge.

However, during the January transfer window the club parted ways with two players as Tino Anjorin was sent out on loan and Lewis Baker left the club on a permanent deal.

As per Premier League regulations, Chelsea had to submit a new 25-man squad after the closure of this window.

Here’s a look at Chelsea’s complete first-team squad which will be eligible to play in the Premier League for the remainder of this season:

Note – (h) stands for homegrown. Each squad requires at least eight homegrown players to be named.

Goalkeepers: Mendy, Arrizabalaga, Bettinelli (h)

Defenders: Rudiger, Alonso, Christensen (h), Thiago Silva, Chalobah (h), Chilwell (h), James (h), Azpilicueta, Sarr

Midfielders: Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic, Saul Niguez, Mount (h), Loftus-Cheek (h), Barkley (h), Kenedy

Forwards: Lukaku (h), Pulisic, Werner, Hudson-Odoi (under-21), Ziyech, Havertz

As you may have noticed, there are 26 players on the squad instead of the usual 25, which is what most Premier League squads are limited to.

This is so because Callum Hudson-Odoi comes under the U-21 category – Coaches can supplement the squad with any number of under-21 players, whatever their country of birth and he falls under this category (born on or after 1 January 2000).

Kenedy has been handed the No.23 jersey for the rest of this season.
