Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his sentiments revealing he is alarmed by the drop in standards among the Man United players, The Telegraph reveals.
The Portuguese veteran, along with Edinson Cavani, has sought to lead by example.
This has been met with enthusiasm by other players who feel they may have learnt more from using their expertise than on the training pitch.
However, Ronaldo has also felt that some of the players want it too easy and let the standards slip at the training ground.
If that’s true, that’s an indictment on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s coaching staff who could not motivate professional football players to give it all in the training.
