Cristiano Ronaldo outlines World Cup ambitions ahead of key Portugal clash

Portugal are yet to book their spot in the World Cup 2022 but Cristiano Ronaldo has already outlined his ambitions for the prestigious tournament.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the Manchester United forward, 37, wrote: “Total focus on the 2022 World Cup.

“Proud, as always, to represent Portugal.

“We know that the path will not be easy, we have the utmost respect for the opponents we will face and who share the same goals as us. But together, we will fight to put Portugal in its rightful place. Let’s do it!”

Portugal face Turkey on Thursday as Ronaldo and co fight for their place after missing automatic qualification last year.
