Manchester United hitman has reacted to the departure of former teammate and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Cristiano Ronaldo tweeted: “He’s been my striker when I first came to Old Trafford and he’s been my coach since I came back to Man. United.
“But most of all, Ole is an outstanding human being. I wish him the best in whatever his life has reserved for him. Good luck, my friend! You deserve it!”
Ronaldo stuck by Ole during the last few difficult months of his reign and urged teammates to respect the manager after the disastrous 0-5 loss to Liverpool.
Cristiano remains the club’s top scorer so far, having scored 9 goals in all competitions.
