NEW RECORD: Cristiano Ronaldo suffers worst goal drought since 2010

Cristiano Ronaldo failed to score against Burnley on Tuesday. The Turf Moor clash was the Portuguese’s fifth goalless appearance in a row.

The forward endures his worst goal drought on club level since 2010, when he failed to find the net in five successive games for Real Madrid.

A five-game goalless run is not really a big deal for most strikers but it’s certainly different for Cristiano.

Things aren’t working for the 37-year-old at Man United this season. Ronaldo has not netted a single goal this year. His last strike took place in a 3-1 win against Burnley on December 30.
