Erik ten Hag makes two demands from Man United board during managerial interview

Erik ten Hag had a few demands of his own about certain things he wanted to know during his interview with Man United.

As per Fabrizio Romano, the Dutchman asked the club about their summer transfer budget and their plans for the future.

Ten Hag was eager to know about these key aspects because he feels ready to take on a major Premier League managerial role.

The Red Devils are likely to spend big in the summer as they reportedly aim to make as many as 4 signings.

United were reportedly left impressed by Ten Hag’s interview, but will also interview a few other candidates before making a final decision on the next manager appointment.

Fans shocked to see how much Sancho earns weekly at United

French outlet L’Equipe recently revealed the top-5 highest-paid players in the Premier League and included Jadon Sancho in it.

The Englishman earns a gross monthly salary of about £1.5m (£18m annually) which is nearly £400,000-a-week.

He is the third-highest paid player at Man United behind David de Gea and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Rival fans and those supporting other teams have been stunned over just how much the young winger is being paid, as they reacted on Reddit.

Wooobeck: “Giving Sancho 300k+ a week is just hilariously bad business. Sure he did well in the Bundesliga but who else was seriously even in for him? I could understand these wages if someone else was offering him like 280k a week. United had to match or improve another offer, but no one else was even in for him.

“There was no need to give him that much money. What are they going to have to give him for a contract extension? 350-400k? Or if he’s just average/flops, no one will take him on his current wages and United will just be stuck with him. It just highlights how badly run United are.”

Wanson: “Saying Sancho is on 300K+ a month is bad enough but its closer 425K a month. It’s insane.”

Black_n_Neon: “We’ve gotten s*** for Werner but Sancho has been horrible this season.”

BmMaximus: “I think it’s about arrogance. This was the only sum he would leave Dortmund for, and Man U has an issue with still thinking they have the pull they had under SAF and that high-profile players can’t be refusing them. If they really want the player they end up with ridiculous wages.

“If they decide not to give in,they start spreading shit in the media ‘explaining’ why it’s not their fault. Look at the Ronaldo transfer. They saw city in for him and for that reason alone threw silly money at him when they had more need for midfielders. They couldn’t handle the hit to their arrogant idealism that they are no longer as big as they used to be.”
