“I’m ready now” – Erik ten Hag sends message to Man Utd

Ajax boss has reportedly revealed his intention to become Manchester United permanent manager.

The Dutchman, alongside Paris Saint-Germain’s Mauricio Pochettino, former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane and Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers are all linked to the permanent job at Old Trafford.

Ralf Rangnick, who was recently appointed on a interim basis, will only spend six months at Old Trafford in his managerial position. The club hopes to then appoint a new manager to take over as permanent boss during the summer.

Following reports across Europe, Ten Hag is suggested to be among several leading candidates for the Man Utd role.

Erik Ten Hag openly admitted that he is ready to leave the Netherlands to take on a new challenge.

“I think I’m ready for it. I would be happy to take on that challenge,” he told de Volkskrant.

“But I’m not chasing it. If it turns out that that step will never come, I will not say that my coaching career has failed.

“But I think I have enough competence to take on that challenge.”
