Ex-Barca Manager in talk with United Board on permanent deal – Fabrizio Romano

Tier-one international football reporter Fabrizio Romano revealed that Manchester United board has been in ‘direct contact’ with former Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde.

The Spanish specialist is ‘one of the five candidates in the list’ in case the Red Devils fail to convince Mauricio Pochettino to leave Paris Saint-Germain in the middle of the season.

Going by Romano clarification, the 57-year-old would only be considered as an ‘interim option’ until the end of the 2021/22 campaign should Man United fail to appoint a permanent manager.
