Liverpool fans mixed reactions to Chelsea draw on Social media – Says Goodbye to title

It is not a good story to tell for Liverpool fans after the club squandered a two-goal lead as Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah’s goal were cancelled out by Mateo Kovacic and Christian Pulisic with the game against Chelsea ending 2-2 at Stamford Bridge.

Here is how Reds reacted to the game:

Twitter

David Gray: “Threw away another 2 goal lead. Poor defending and missed chances. We should have been out of sight by half time. God knows what will happen without Salah, Mane and Keita. At least the next 3 games shouldn’t be difficult, I hope. City have to play Chelsea as well in a couple of weeks.”

FortressKop: “Today’s game pretty much sums up our League season in a nutshell. Individual brilliance from our forwards followed by calamity from our defence + midfield, then drop points from winning positions by ourselves.

“That coupled with awful substitutions, things look bleak for us. We can kiss goodbye to the title”

Klopp’s army: “Shit, shit, shit. How are we giving up so many leads? A bad midfield, a shit defence. Goodbye title, Man City running away with it again, so fucking frustrating!!!

Sai Samarth: “Hard to watch us being dominated. City are just much better, clear to see. Hard road back, not giving up but well it’s hard to remain positive.”

Reddit

rynnkeildi: “The league is now very difficult to win, if not impossible. We will have to ensure we at least stay in Top 4 if we are to stay competitive next season, when Covid hopefully fucks off forever and stops getting in the way of our plans. I just want to see the players lift the PL trophy in front of the Anfield crowd, dammit.

“The Champions League, and maybe the two domestic cups, should now receive more of our attention. What better way to ruin Man City’s party of them flat track bullying of the league by us winning Big Ears the 7th time?”

ShineOnbenevolentsun: “Pissed away so many games from winning positions this season. Brentford, Brighton, City, Spurs, Chelsea. We’ve not been good enough at closing games out.”

escanorsama: “Relying on a 36-year-old while City have the Avengers and Chelsea have Superman Kante. Terrible game, we are lucky to get a result. I feel depleted, fuck.”
