Player Rating: Ronaldo saves Man United again rates highest against Arsenal

David De Gea — 7

De Gea made a careless mistake the caused the first goal of the game after going down on the ground with the ball still in play. However, the Spaniard made some superb saves after the incident to keep Manchester United in the game.

Harry Maguire — 6.5

The skipper defended well and made a vital headed clearance in added time to keep the score 3–2. However, Maguire’s attacking ventures, particularly in the first half, was completely horrible.

Fred — 7

Another hot and cold performance from the Brazilian who continues to embody Man United’s season. Fred was involved in the episode during Arsenal’s opener but provided an assist and earned a penalty after.

Bruno Fernandes — 7

Bruno scored a vital equaliser just before the half-time whistle but was mostly erratic and sloppy in first 45 minutes. Still, the Portuguese was a little better after the break.

Cristiano Ronaldo — 8

Another Man of the Match display from the 36-year-old who silenced his critics by pressing and terrorising Arsenal’s defence. Ronaldo also scored his 800th (and then 801st) career goal against the Gunners. He is definitely, the United savior in this dispensation.
