Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick has said that Donny van de Beek will get enough game time at under his management but demands that the Dutch star works very hard for it.
“Just work hard. So far, as I have got to know him, he has got a top mentality,” Ralf Rangnick said when asked about his advice for Donny van de Beek as he struggles to get minutes at Man United.
“I also had a long conversation with him last week about that and again, of course it is difficult for him right now because he also wants to play for the Dutch national team, he wants to qualify for himself and play in the World Cup in Qatar and in order to do that he needs to get game time here.
“But I still believe we should keep him, and he should stay here, definitely until the end of this season and try to get as much game time as he possibly can.”
Van de Beek has just started one game under Rangnick so far, which came in the 1-1 draw against Young Boys where he played as a defensive midfielder.
The Dutchman reportedly wants to leave United in the winter transfer window, but it is obvious Rangnick will not allow van de Beek to go anywhere anytime soon.
