Steve Bruce has clearly declared his interest to take over as Manchester United boss. While speaking to Sky Sport, he said: “It’s an opportunity to go into the greatest club in world football, in my view. You don’t allow them to pass you by whatever the circumstances, or whatever boundaries you’re set.
“At the end of the day you look at the group you have to work with and they’re a very, very talented group of players. Any manager worth his salt would take a look at that group and think ‘yeah, maybe I can get a better tune out of them’.
‘There’s a lot of people at Manchester United who have my number and I haven’t had a call yet. It’s a great position, one that a lot of managers would be very interested in, myself included.”
Steve Bruce parted way with Newcastle United last month after the Premier League side were controversially taken over by a Saudi Arabia-backed consortium.
