Erik ten Hag is making a lot of demands from Man United before he accepts the offer to be their next manager, as per reliable Dutch outlet De Telegraaf.
Apart from having control over the kind of signings the club makes for him, the Dutchman also wants another demand satisfied.
Ten Hag wants to have total control over being able to remove current players from the squad, irrespective of their reputation.
That means the club has to give him the authority to even remove Cristiano Ronaldo from the team if he says so.
The Dutchman has reportedly agreed to become United’s next manager, but the deal is yet to be fully finalized.
Man Utd boss Rangnick admits being a Van de Beek fan
Manchester United caretaker boss Ralf Rangnick has praised Donny van de Beek ahead of their trip to Everton today.
The 24-year-old made a temporary switch to Merseyside during the January transfer window and is ineligible to face United at Goodison Park tomorrow, despite also being currently sidelined with a thigh injury.
“I like Donny as a player and he had a lot of rivalry in his positions from other players,” admitted Rangnick.
“With a high level of competition, that’s why he didn’t get the amount of game-time and that’s why he asked me and us to give him the chance to go elsewhere.
“Unfortunately, he was injured in the last couple of weeks and couldn’t play. Tomorrow, he will not be able to play anyway, but, in the next seven or eight games that they have, he will hopefully help them to stay in the league and get as much game-time as possible.”
