As reigning European Champions after winning the Champions League, Chelsea will be participating in this season’s FIFA Club World Cup.
While the trophy isn’t the biggest, it would be a good one to add to the Blues’ collection and here’s a look at the teams that are in their way.
Al Hilal – AFC Champions League winners
Al Ahly – CAF Champions League winners
Monterrey – CONCACAF Champions League winners
Auckland City – OFC representatives
Al Jazira Club – UAE Pro League winners
Palmeiras – CONEMBOL Libertadores winners
Chelsea will enter at the semi-final stage on the opposite side of the draw to Palmeiras, who are the winners of the Libertadores.
The Blues could face any of the 5 other clubs in the semi-final, with the draw schedule for November 29th and the games set to take place in ‘early 2022’ according to FIFA.
