Paris Saint-Germain has officially confirmed that Kylian Mbappe will remain with the club. The star was linked with a move to Real Madrid, as his deal with PSG was to expire in June 2022.
However, the 23-year-old has agreed on fresh terms of a three-year current deal with the Ligue 1 champions. According to Mbappe, Paris is his city and he always wanted to stay.
He said: “I’m really happy to continue the adventure here at Paris Saint-Germain. To stay in Paris, my city.
“I hope that I will continue to do what I prefer to with you all… and win titles together! Thanks a lot.”
Mbappe’s message to Real Madrid President, Perez revealed after new PSG deal
The message Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe sent to Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, to confirm his decision to snub the Los Blancos and sign a new deal with the French Ligue 1 champions has been revealed.
Mbappe’s decision to sign a new contract at PSG and turn down Real Madrid in the process has caused shockwaves in the football world.
Many expected, including Perez, that the France World Cup winner would join Real Madrid this summer, but instead, he will remain at the Parc des Princes.
As revealed by El Chiringuito host, Josep Pedrerol, this is the message that Mbappe sent to Perez to confirm that he is staying with the Parisians.
“Mr Florentino Perez, I am informing you that I have decided to stay at PSG,” Mbappe’s message began.
“I want to thank you for the opportunity you have given me to play for Real Madrid, the club I have been a fan of since I was a child.
“I hope you will be understanding of my decision.
“Good luck in the Champions League final.”
